Marketing and Communications Manager

Job Description:
Content creation and implementation of mission-driven social media campaigns, CHN website and CHN’s greater online presence. Work closely with Executive Director to increase program participation, institutional and individual memberships through social media, marketing and promotions. Focus on revitalization of CHN’s image as a 21st century organization with new touchstones for member identification. Work closely with CHN Newsletter Editor-in-Chief to solicit and increase ad revenue, and produce CHN’s twice-annual publication.
Key Responsibilities include:
  • Design and deploy new marketing strategy for a CHN in 2020 revitalization campaign
  • Mine CHN data; outreach, online engagement, social media impact to support vision
  • Manage CHN website, greater online profile (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook)
  • Design, coordinate, distribute social media and other marketing tools
  • Engage with members, program participators and other donors to inspire maximum involvement and a timely payment schedule.
  • Work with staff on annual fundraising and community events
  • Assist in creation of semi-annual newsletter (36-page, full color)
Requirements:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Design experience in InDesign, Photoshop, constant contact, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram
  • Experience in database reporting and creating queries
  • Demonstrated ability to develop systems and processes
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and foster robust financial relationships
  • Excellent project management skills, with an ability to manage competing deadlines
  • Strong people skills and cheery phone presence

Member Relations & Programs Manager

Job Description:

Manage and maintain CHN’s membership database by inputting and updating donor and member information. Adhere to and deploy mailings on annual membership mailing timeline to include solicitation, acknowledgement, renewal, annual appeal and other specific and targeted campaigns. Work closely with CHN’s executive director and CHN board membership development committee to create targeted messaging, individualized mailings for development campaigns and other promotional materials. Produce regular data base analytics to continually improve CHN’s outreach and identification with targeted recipients. Work with CHN finance manager to reconcile membership, fundraising and program payments.

Key Responsibilities include:
  • Maintain donor database; continually research and input updated contact information
  • Provide reports and analytics on donor metrics and neighborhood demographics
  • Manage member relationships, distribute member appeals, acknowledgement letters
  • Generate annual program invoices for vendors and program participators
  • Conduct and innovate prospective donor research and outreach
  • Coordinate volunteers and interns on mailing projects and office tasks
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of database experience
  • Experience in Donor Perfect, Salesforce or other database reporting programs
  • Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to develop systems and processes, project management skills
  • Ability to manage competing deadlines, maintain confidentiality and provide customer service
